Crushed Rock

Crushed Rock Products

Crushed rock is a basic, but versatile material used in construction and landscaping. Rock formations are broken into stones of various sizes using a crusher, with crushed rock categories based on the size of the stones after crushing. The size of the rocks determines their use - from base material for highways and drainage systems to enhancements for driveways and landscaping.

Quarry Spalls 2 x 4″ | 4 X 8″

Quarry spalls are used when large, bony rock material is needed to firm up muddy or soft areas. Rocks are screened to the 4-inch and 2-inch measurements, but sizes may appear visually larger. Spalls can be compacted while still providing water permeability.

  • The 2″ x 4″ quarry spall can be used as backfill for rock walls, as subbase for pavement or as a stabilizing layer before building.
  • The 4″ x 8″ quarry spall is useful for construction entrances, armoring slopes, and stabilizing wet areas. For residential purposes, it may be used to build small flower bed retaining walls.
